If you’re a fan of consumer technology, you’re likely already aware of some of the major shows which take place every year. Events like CES, MWC and Computex offer a platform for brands to launch killer new products in front of world media and enthusiastic fans.

You might not have heard of ISE – but it should certainly be on your radar. The show may have started out as a hub for the AV industry, but it’s much more than that these days. In fact, the intersection of all manner of things which cross over with AV includes just about all of the tech you could think of.

The event promises “groundbreaking announcements, exciting product launches, engaging roundtables and panel discussions, as well as inspiring keynotes.” All of that comes from a wide array of exhibitors, including household names like Sonos, Samsung and Sony.

This year, the event returns to the Fira de Barcelona in Spain – notably the same venue which holds MWC each year – from the 4th to the 7th of February. Over 1,4500 exhibitors are set to flock to the Spanish city for the show, covering everything from audio to smart homes and even esports.

It’s not just the wide array of brands which make it an enticing prospect, either. There are all manner of great events happening over the days of the event. That includes an opening keynote presentation from author and analyst, Brian Solis, as well as ‘Track sessions’ which focus on megatrends like AI, Cybersecurity and Sustainability.

That’s on top of live activations throughout the event. There’s an esports arena for gaming fans, while a robotics and drone arena should keep most enthralled for a while. There’s even a range of different demo rooms across the floor, which should give attendees a great chance to try the new tech quickly.

You’ll be hard-pressed to miss the event, too. The iconic Casa Batlló in central Barcelona – designed by the legendary architect, Antoni Gaudi – will be illuminated from the weekend before the event, to showcase AV technology to the city.
