3 reasons why your next mattress should be the Silentnight Studio Eco
Silentnight's Studio range delivers impressive convenience without compromising on comfort or quality
If you're looking for a new mattress that delivers on convenience as well as comfort, it's worth checking out the Silentnight Studio collection. Silentnight has been Britain's number one sleep brand for 15 years, and these four innovative and award-winning mattresses make it easy to see why.
The Studio Original is the bestseller of the range, and we were so impressed with the combination of bouncy Geltex with pressure relieving foam that we shortlisted it for a 2021 T3 Award, and gave it an almost-perfect four stars in our Silentnight Studio Original review. The Studio Memory and Studio Gel are two hybrid mattresses, which means they combine springs and foam for the ultimate in comfort and support. Both include 1,000 full-size pocketed springs; the Studio Memory adds sumptuous body-cradling memory foam, while the Studio Gel uses a gel-infused foam layer with a bit more bounce.
Our pick of the bunch, however, is the Studio Eco. This hybrid model delivers enhanced breathability and supreme comfort that's all the more impressive when you consider it has been created from recycled plastic, and is itself 100% recyclable at the end of its life.
All four Studio mattresses are handmade to order in the UK, and delivered free to your door in just 48 hours. Not convinced yet? Read on for three reasons why the Silentnight Studio range deserves to be in the mix when you're choosing your next mattress.
1. Ultra convenient delivery
Mattresses are big, bulky, and hard to move around. Getting one into your bedroom requires a van for transportation, much sweaty shuffling of furniture to clear walkways, and, if you live in a flat, at least an hour shuffling around in a stairwell shouting 'Pivot!'.
That is, unless you go for a rolled mattress, like any of the Silentnight Studio models. Via a process of vacuum packing and rolling, even the bulkiest King-sized mattresses can be packed up into an unfeasibly small and easily transportable package, with no compromise in quality or comfort.
Silentnight will deliver your new Studio mattress either to your doorstep or to a room of your choice. Once you've got it onto your bed frame, carefully cut open the wrappings and watch it unfurl magically into a full-sized mattress (it's as satisfying as it sounds). Unlike other vacuum-packed options, the Studio mattresses are ready to sleep on immediately; you don't have to wait hours for them to expand.
2. Good for the environment, and for your bank balance
If you're trying to make more environmentally friendly purchasing decisions, the Silentnight Studio Eco is a great option. This mattress is manufactured from specially created eco fibres made from recycled plastic bottles – the result being that 450 million fewer plastic bottles reach the ocean every year. It's also chemical treatment free, to ensure a safe, healthy sleep environment.
Like all of Silentnight's mattresses, the Studio Eco is put through a rigorous testing process to ensure it's as durable and will last as long as possible. When it does reach the end of its life, this mattress is 100% recyclable, which means less landfill waste.
Buying sustainable products can often mean paying more, but we were impressed to see that the Silentnight Studio Eco – like the rest of the Studio range – is very competitively priced. Prices start at £359 for the Single Eco, which is excellent value for a hybrid.
3. Award-winning comfort
Convenient delivery and environmentally friendly materials are great, but the make-or-break factor in a mattress is that it's comfy to sleep on. On this front you can rest assured – we've tested out two of the Studio range, and were extremely impressed, awarding both four stars. In fact, all four of the Silentnight Studio mattresses have accolades to their name. Both the Studio Memory and Studio Original are Which? Best Buys, the Studio Gel comes Ideal Home approved, and the Studio Eco picked up a Real Homes Gold award.
In our Silentnight Studio Eco review we said this mattress "offers some serious bang for your buck" and "keeps its cool on the hottest nights". This hybrid design combines springs and foam for the perfect balance of support and comfort. The 1000 full-sized pocket springs adapt to your body to provide all-over support, and are zoned to promote correct spinal alignment.
As we flagged up in our review, Silentnight has put some legwork into ensuring the Eco doesn't trap heat. That clever 3D Studio fabric makes this mattress ultra-breathable and moisture-regulating, to deliver a more refreshing night's sleep.
All Silentnight Studio mattresses come with a 60-night comfort exchange guarantee for added peace of mind, as well as a 5-year guarantee. Browse the full Silentnight Studio Eco range at Silentnight now.
