Explore the energy efficient Samsung washing machine range, powered by brilliant innovations
Samsung’s Washing Machines are ultra-efficient, stylish and loaded with innovation. We take a closer look
Samsung is proactively working to reduce its carbon footprint – and it's good news for consumers as well as for the environment. All of Samsung's washing machines are designed to be as energy efficient as possible, and come with a host of clever innovations that mean they'll work harder and smarter for you, while having less of an impact on the planet (and on your energy bills).
Top rated for efficiency
All of the 9kg washing machines in Samsung's new Auto Dose, AddWash™ and QuickDrive™ platforms boast the highest Energy Efficiency grade available – which, with the new rating system, is a Grade A.
Samsung's appliances use a range of intelligent innovations. For example, its washing machines use ecobubble™ technology to get your clothes spotlessly clean at a lower temperature, while the Samsung tumble dryer range uses heat pump technology – the most energy-efficient technology1 on the market – to dry your clothes using half the energy of conventional tumble dryers.
Pair an ecobubble™ washing machine with a heat pump tumble dryer for a laundry setup that allows you to save on your energy bills without compromising on washing and drying performance.
Fitting around your day
Samsung has also thought about how its features can work for busy schedules, so your household chores fit around your lifestyle. A number of its washing machines are Wi-Fi compatible, which means you can hook them up to your phone and use the Samsung SmartThings app2 to launch a cycle so it's ready to hang out, or pop in the dryer, as soon as you get home. You can even streamline the app to show only the programmes you regularly use, to make things even easier.
When you are at home, the washing machines themselves also feature intuitive control panels that remember your laundry habits and suggest your favourite cycles to make popping a load on as simple as possible. The Auto Dose feature efficiently manages the amount of detergent needed, while the Hygiene Steam cycle releases hot steam to eliminate 99.9 per cent of bacteria and inactivate allergens3.
If you're time-pressed, Super Speed Wash will let you smash through 5kg of washing in under an hour with its ultra-efficient 59-minute cycle. For forgetful customers, AddWash™ enables you to add extra items into the machine during the wash4 – one for anyone who's ever discovered half a school uniform or a hidden pile of sweaty sportswear 10 minutes into a wash cycle. Finally, all of this comes with a five-year warranty for added peace of mind5.
A commitment to carbon neutrality
As well as making sure its appliances are as energy efficient as possible, Samsung has gone one step further in its efforts to protect the planet by partnering with Carbon Footprint Ltd to launch a new carbon offsetting initiative. Samsung has pledged to offset the lifetime CO2 output of any washing machine or tumble dryer bought before 1 June 2021, making your appliances carbon neutral while you use them.
As part of this commitment, Samsung is working on a number of projects both locally and overseas. These include planting more trees across the UK, promoting sustainable energy sources by working with wind power and solar energy plants in India, and working with local forest communities in Brazil to reduce deforestation.
