TCL - Greatest Connected Experience
How Technology Inspires the Next Generation on the Biggest Stage in the World
The eyes of all discerning sports fans will be on Qatar this winter as the best footballers on the planet assemble to compete for the greatest football championship.
Only the Olympic Games comes close to rivalling this soccer spectacle, with a global audience predicted this year to surpass a whopping five billion people for the first time ever for a major sporting event. Only one team can win, of course, but with comfortably more than half of the global population over the age of four wanting to see the action, it is clear technological advancements in recent years have had a huge impact on the growth of the 'people's game’.
At the forefront of democratising the highest-quality technology solutions, to ensure the largest amount of people can connect to the football event, is one of the world's fastest-growing consumer electronics companies, TCL.
TCL's cutting-edge mobile products speak for themselves, but the company that aims to Inspire Greatness is also delivering a unique vision to help spread the ability to connect and communicate.
Four of the greatest players in the Qatar tournament, which take place in the build-up to and during this year's holiday season, will all be keeping in touch with friends, family and teammates with the help of pioneering TCL technology and devices.
TCL has long recognised the power of sport and the connective spirit that 'Inspires Greatness' in players, and the wider community. As a consistent supporter of world sport, TCL sponsors football teams and tournaments in Argentina, Australia, Brazil, the UK and the US, among others. The company also has a strong track record of working with sporting icons. Beyond football, TCL has also been a global partner of the International Basketball Association (FIBA) since 2018, and is a major sponsor of the 2022 FIBA EuroBasket, starting today.
Four years ago, France defender Raphael Varane was a winner with his country at the last World Cup in Russia. Now the Manchester United defender, formerly of Real Madrid, will be there to help his fellow French countrymen try to defend their trophy.
Trying to stop Varane will be fellow TCL ambassadors England and Manchester City star Phil Foden, Real Madrid's Brazilian sensation Rodrygo alongside Spain and Barcelona teenage prodigy, Pedri.
It is an unmatched star-studded collection of players who are united in helping to demonstrate how not only football but also TCL technology can help unlock and inspire greatness around the world.
The Fab Four might be in different international camps in Qatar, but they will all have the ability to stay connected by accessing TCL's latest mobile products. This includes the TCL 30 Series mobile phones, tablets TCL NXTPAPER 10s and the TCL TAB 10s 5G, all while enhancing their entertainment experience with the TCL NXTWEAR S smart glasses. And keeping them in the game are the true wireless headphones, TCL MOVEAUDIO S180’s with hybrid active noise cancelling technology.
The players are young men, all at the cutting edge of their profession and are keen to share why they have been drawn to use the similarly creative brilliance of TCL technology.
"Technology is important in how it enables us to watch things in different ways and stay connected," said Varane. "I think especially when we are travelling long distances - and we travel a lot - it's important to stay connected with families, with friends."
Spain star Pedri is tipped to be one of the stand-out stars of the finals, having impressed so well for his country in last year's European Championships. He commented: "I have a smartphone, tablets and I try to use them all. I think this technology helps us a lot in everything every day and we really need it. And if we can make life better through technology it is always welcome."
Aside from his TCL smartphone, TCL 30 5G, Pedri is also the proud owner of the new TCL NXTWEAR AIR glasses as well as the award-winning TCL NXTPAPER 10s tablet, which has Eyecare technology to reduce the blue light on screens.
“I think it is very important for all the family when we are watching TV, tablets or smartphones to protect the eyes. I think TCL is doing a very good job with this. It is very important," Pedri explains.
England superstar Phil Foden is no different to his fellow young professionals in his love for all the latest gadgets.
“Using technology to stay connected these days is really important to me," he said. "We spend so many hours just sitting in the hotel room with not a lot to do. As players we can’t really go out and walk the streets so, yeah, it’s important to keep in touch with your family and stay happy off the pitch. I think this helps on the pitch as well."
Viewers around the world and those lucky enough to be watching the action up close in Qatar will be able to analyse and share the skills and thrills of the world's best players with ease, thanks to the latest technology. But these pages present an immediate opportunity to check out the capabilities of just what TCL’s ambassadors will be turning to for their entertainment and communications during the finals.
Do not be surprised if you see any of TCL's players taking photos and videos of teammates in their post-match celebrations using their TCL 30 5G phones.
The 184g weight and 7.74mm size make for both an ultra-slim and light design. What’s most notable is the high screen-to-body ratio, which gives users an incredibly sleek and immersive experience when using their phones. With such a minimal rim and a premium fibreglass finish, this phone oozes style. Each of the TCL 30 Series is available in Tech Black, while the TCL 30 and 30+ offer Muse Blue with the TCL 30 5G offered in a demure Dreamy Blue.
The 50MP Hi-Res AI Triple Camera compares favourably to any other phone on the market but also boasts an ultra wide-angle selfie facility. Expect plenty of them to be taken in Qatar!
In practical terms, it presents the freedom to get immersed in a variety of styles of photography. The HDR videos and photos are captured and displayed with greater clarity, contrast and better detail than ever before. To put it another way: experience the allure of stunning daily shots, exquisite macro world and artistic depth in high-res details.
With so many capabilities and ways to use this device, it was always going to need impressive battery power. The 5010mAh of the phone goes beyond expectations and results in two days of charge at a time. The 18W fast charging facility means the phone will be back up and running in no time should the user ever run short on power.
The aesthetics go beyond the look and feel of this phone as its 6.7 inches FHD+ AMOLED NXTVISION display capacity needs to be seen to be believed.
We are talking about the ultimate combination of ultra-clarity and ultra-vivid imagery. This is a technology that means the screen can be seen clearly even under the glare of the Qatar sunlight. This technology team-up is also all-day low blue light certified. So colours are infinitely less distorted compared to it being solely a software adjustment. Taking the strain off your eyes means extra comfort and keeps you fresh for watching your favourite team win.
Vibrant HD+ displays and standout camera technologies from Steady Snap, to 50MP AI Triple Cameras are just some of the ways TCL is democratising technology. These features are all available in the TCL 30 SE, allowing anyone to be able to watch the sport they love in high definition or shoot stunning pictures of the game from the stands. The TCL 30 SE comes with a 128GB large storage capacity – a superior amount when compared to much of the competition, as well as being flexible for users to manage in their daily life.
Powered by an Helio G25 chipset and Hyper Engine technology, the TCL 30 SE will always keep up with you while streaming games you’re watching and texting your friends simultaneously. This luxurious smooth multitasking experience is facilitated by an Octa-core Processor and 4GB RAM, which ultimately, improves power efficiency to make this phone work to the best of its ability.
Remove all the awkwardness of capturing selfies when you’ve got your hands full and there’s an exciting moment building up in the background with the TCL 30 SE Auto-Capture feature which can detect faces automatically, begin taking photos, all without having to manually click with your popcorn laden hand. All without sacrificing quality on an 8MP HDR forward-facing camera. Its smart HDR function will also automatically adjust exposure levels to optimise details in your portraits.
Even when you’re with your friends and you don’t have someone to take a photo of you - relax. Simply place the TCL 30 SE into position, get ready and raise your palm to the rear camera to begin a two-second countdown to have your picture taken. Perfect for those private moments.
And when we are all trying to stay charged up watching four matches a day in Qatar, users of the latest TCL mobile devices can relax in the knowledge the TCL 30 SE's massive 5000 mAh battery will provide more than enough juice. And just to make sure you make it to the end, the Smart Manager feature will manage various operations on your phone to extend that battery time even further.
Users of the TCL tablets are able to express their greatness through smart touchscreens and display innovations like NXTVISION, which turbocharges images and videos, and NXTPAPER, which uses blue light filtering to offer paper-like displays to safeguard vision.
Delivering a tactile feeling just like real paper, the TCL NXTPAPER 10s brings out the best in an e-reader and tablet for office tasks and downtime.
While a regular LCD screen replaces harmful blue light with unwanted yellowing, the NXTPAPER eye care uses a subtly built-in multi-layer filter, for a more pleasurable viewing experience during intensive reading.
The 10.1-inch FHD crystal-clear display leaves users feeling soothed and inspired with emboldened colours and always pristine detail.
TCL inspires greatness through the power of technology. Sport has the power to inspire millions, create role models and engage communities through passion, teamwork and respect. These are the same values that drive TCL to innovate and develop premium, affordable technologies that deliver memorable connected experiences. Combined, these two things 'Inspire Greatness'.
On and off the pitch, thanks to TCL and the world's greatest footballing minds, this winter promises to be the greatest connected experience ever!
