Traeger has just announced its new Woodridge Series of wood pellet barbecue grills. Within the collection are three new models, all of which have customisable designs, and smoke circulation technology that adds deep, rich flavors to your barbecue food – and they’re not too expensive, either.
Adding to its best smoker line-up, the new Traeger Woodridge series is all about enhancing the pellet grilling experience. The age-old debate among barbecue enthusiasts is whether charcoal, gas, pellet or electric is best, but if you like smoking meats or cooking low-and-slow, then Traeger’s new Woodridge pellet grills might be the way to go.
All three models of the Traeger Woodridge range have similar designs and technology. The grills have large surface areas and maximum storage space for cooking multiple foods at a time, separating mains, sides and appetizers, and storing accessories and tools.
Designed for smoking, the Traeger Woodridge barbecues have a Freeflow Fire Pot that offers optimised smoke circulation and enhanced airflow between the wood pellets. This allows the Woodridge grills to generate more smoke to add a wood-fire taste to food that’s deeper and richer in flavor.
The main differences between the Woodridge, Pro and Elite models are added functionality. They all have 970 square inches of grilling space, but the Pro and Elite have extra features, like side shelves, sensors and burners.
The Woodridge Pro – which is one up from the standard Woodridge – has a Super Smoke mode that maximizes smoke flow even more than the original to add even richer flavors. It also has a pellet sensor and control that monitors fuel levels, and it has a folding side shelf and extra storage for food prep and accessories.
A further step up from the Pro, the Woodridge Elite has a 1100W infrared side burner that’s exclusive to this specific model. The side burner is great for searing, sautéing and deep-frying, plus it adds even more grilling space, making it perfect for big barbecues or garden parties. Additional extras of the Woodridge Elite include superior heat retention and an enclosed cabinet at the bottom of the grill for more protective and weather-resistant storage.

As most barbecues do these days, Traeger’s Woodridge series has WiFIRE technology that connects to the Traeger app via Bluetooth. The app allows you to remotely monitor your cooking and even adjust the settings without having to stand directly in front of or near the grill.
Prices on the Traeger Woodridge series start at $799 for the original, $999 for the Pro and $1,599 for the Elite. All three models are available to buy now at Traeger.
