QUICK SUMMARY
Amerisleep has launched its new AS6 Black Series. The new mattress features new cooling technology that’s said to provide 12 hours of temperature regulation.
The Amerisleep AS6 Black Series starts at $3,399 and is only available in the US.
Amerisleep has just debuted its new mattress line that’s said to be its most cooling mattress yet. The Amerisleep AS6 Black Series provides 12+ hours of proven temperature regulation, making it perfect for sleepers who tend to overheat at night – but it’ll certainly cost you.
Amerisleep is well known for its collection of the best mattresses, most of which have a hybrid construction of springs and memory foam. The new AS6 Black Series is no exception, and when compared to Amerisleep’s other mattresses – like the Amerisleep AS3 Hybrid – the new mattress line is described as ‘luxury comfort’ (which probably explains the high price tag).
But it’s the cooling properties of the Amerisleep AS6 Black Series that I’m most excited by. As someone who tends to overheat in the night – probably because I insist on sleeping under the thickest duvet imaginable – the Amerisleep AS6 Black Series sounds like the ideal solution due to its multiple cooling layers and bands.
Scientific research has shown that having a cooler body temperature can help you fall asleep faster, stay asleep longer and even reduce the likelihood of insomnia, due to the colder temperatures lowering your heart rate. With this in mind, the Amerisleep AS6 Black Series has been engineered to provide over 12 hours of temperature regulation which is one of the longest durations on the market today.
The Amerisleep AS6 Black Series is made up of seven layers with three of those layers stacked atop one another to provide a triple-layer cooling system. The top layer is a CryoCool Cover which uses advanced fibres to actively pull heat away from the body, and gives that cool-to-touch sensation.
Under the cover is a TitanAir layer which features titanium-infused memory foam that disperses excess heat and provides pressure relief to the body. Next is a layer of ArcticWave Cooling Bands, mineral-infused bands that maintain optimal sleep temperature throughout the night. Other layers of the Amerisleep AS6 Black Series include Bio-Pur memory foam and a Precision Coil Core for extra support and comfort.
Pricing on the Amerisleep AS6 Black Series mattress starts at $3,399 at Amerisleep, with sizes available from Twin up to Split King. It’s not what I’d call a cheap mattress but as of writing, the Amerisleep AS6 Black Series has already been discounted, so you can save up to $1,000 on each mattress size.
