Emporio Armani already made waves with the Hybrid collection, adding connected and fitness features to the classic analogue watch. Now it's launched the Touchscreen Smartwatch, a full-on Android Wear piece.
It pairs with your Apple or Android smartphone and handles notifications, apps and activity tracking via Google’s Android Wear platform. Even better, it filters your notifications so you only see what's important, and lets you control your phone's music.
What’s different from your standard smartwatch is that it adds the dynamic, chic and youthful styling of Emporio Armani to the tech.
7am: meet the new day
From the moment the EAC’s alarm wakes you, it’s there when you need it. Charged overnight as you sleep, the Emporio Armani Touchscreen Smartwatch is good for the next 24 hours (dependant on use). If you want to catch up on the morning’s headlines, Google’s built in Assistant can help.
8am
Off to the office or college and the Emporio Armani Touchscreen Smartwatch is tracking your activity all the way. You can see progress towards the day’s fitness goals at a glance thanks to a 'complication' on the screen – complications are live widgets that can be set to show various bits of useful info.
One of the stylish pushers on the case can also be set to give instant access to more in-depth control of the your fitness apps.
The Touchscreen Smartwatch’s complications and buttons can also give control of all your music’s tunes and playlists. Meanwhile, Google Assistant, the AI built into all Android Wear devices, can help with your questions on transport, or tell you your Google Calendar appointments for the day.

Oh, and one other thing: yes, the EA Touchscreen Smartwatch tells the time. Well, it’s important, first thing in the morning. You don’t want to be late.
Midday
Throughout the morning, the Emporio Armani Touchscreen Smartwatch is firing you subtle, vibration or sound notifications of calendar alerts, reminders, calls and messages. You can instantly see what’s afoot, on the touchscreen and reply via your phone or even use the small but perfectly formed keyboard, or your voice, to send a reply straight from your wrist.
With a flick of the AMOLED touchscreen you can cut off the outside world for a while, and prioritise alerts for only reminders, alarms and diary appointments.
The evening
Emporio Armani's Touchscreen Smartwatch comes in a choice of three stylish casings – classic steel, eye-catching gold and contemporary black – to match your look. With a further choice of leather bands and metal bracelets, all interchangeable, you can also adapt its look to suit the occasion or your mood. Maybe a smart leather strap during the day, then a bracelet for an evening meal.
There’s is a wide choice of watch faces, too. Just use the Android Wear app to choose a face, then press down on the touchscreen to customise its look to suit your style, mood or situation.
There’s everything from classic, formal faces to fun, on-trend ones and all of them can be personalised with different colours, accents and complications.
Whether you’re looking for cinema tickets, a great local restaurant or bar, Google Assistant’s location-based search is once again on hand to offer great advice. If you’re in an unfamiliar part of town it can also help with directions, or to order you a cab home.
Time for bed? It’s easy to mute notifications, and now’s the time to check your daily activity scores and tomorrow’s calendar appointments. Put your Emporio Armani Touchscreen Smartwatch on its charger and it’ll be all ready to go again in the morning, just like you.
