If you've been to-ing and fro-ing about picking up one of the best foldable phones of the moment, the Google Pixel Fold, delay no longer: the handset is suddenly at its lowest-ever price, meaning you can pick it up for $1,274 rather than the normal retail price of $1,799.

To put it another way, there's now more than $500 off this foldable phone, which comes with cutting-edge specs, feature-packed Pixel software, and of course that folding screen – use it as a 'normal' phone when it's closed, or get a display close to tablet-sized when you open it out.
Google Pixel Fold: was $1,799, now £1,274 at Amazon
With the Google Pixel Fold, you get two screens for the (discounted) price of one: a 5.8-inch display on the outside and a 7.6-inch display on the inside. There's also a top-end Tensor G2 processor here, plus 12GB of RAM, and 256GB of internal storage, plus a triple-lens rear camera for snapping photos and shooting video.
Have a look at our Google Pixel Fold review, and you'll see there was much that impressed us about it, including that "glorious" 7.6-inch display on the inside, the large outer display (which is one reason to buy this over the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5), and the capabilities of the camera system.
The Pixel version of Android that Google itself develops is the best in the business, and comes with a number of exclusives – including a Recorder app that can transcribe voice notes into text in real-time, and a pile of photo editing features (some of them using the magic of AI).
And if you're wondering whether or not foldables are ready for the mainstream yet, the answer is a resounding yes. You get the larger display when you need it (for movie watching or multitasking), and yet this is still a device you can slide into your pocket. It gives you a lot more flexibility on the go.
With such a substantial discount now applied, it makes more sense than ever to take the plunge and treat yourself to a Google Pixel Fold (and who really knows when the Google Pixel Fold 2 is going to show up) – we don't think it's a buying decision that you're likely to regret.
