Yeedi like Sunday morning
We don't have the figures to hand but we're willing to bet that Black Friday is probably the day when the most robot vacuum cleaners get sold. After all, everyone quite likes the idea of robot vacs, but nobody wants to pay full price for something that won't remove dust as well as a standard vac, and which will periodically get trapped and/or suck up all your USB cables. Once reduced to a more sensible price they become irresistible however!

The best coffee machine deal so far
We like our coffee like we like our Fridays: black, and at a low price. This week is not exactly awash with great coffee machine deals so far – although are discount on the Nespresso Vertuo Plus and Vertuo Next machines because, well, there always are.
If you want to make the move up from pods, the best deal we can find is on the superb Delonghi Specialista Prestigio. This bean to cup espresso machine has an excellent grinder and pump, to produce coffee as good as any you'll find in pricey coffee shops. The standout feature is the automatic tamping – pressing the ground coffee down into the filter basket at exactly the correct pressure. This means you get consistently excellent results without the need to develop any barista skills whatsoever.
There's also a discount on the already more affordable Delonghi La Specialista. This is more or less the same as the Prestigio, functionally speaking, but requires you to tamp manually. It's not that hard, really.
Sony WH-1000XM5 and XM4 price cuts!
Sony's WH range of over-ear noise-cancelling headphones have long been acclaimed as the world's best and Amazon seems to have the best pre-Black Friday deals on them, so far. Everyone loves these cans because of their lush, powerful sound, almost magical ability to cut out background noise, and excellent build quality.
The WH-1000XM5 is Sony's current state of the art unit, and it's got a price cut of £84, taking it down to £296. If that still seems a little too premium for your taste, consider settling for its predecessor, the WH-1000XM4. There is minimal difference in terms of sound quality, and some may prefer their slightly more retro styling. Amazon has them for £250 right now, down from £350 at the peak of their career.
The XM5 is at its lowest ever Amazon price, but I suspect there is scope for a further price drop on the XM4.

Google Pixel 6: was £599 now £399 at Currys
Smartphone deals are coming in thick and fast right now with discounts on everything from affordable workhorses to the all-mighty flagships. This Google Pixel 6 offer is among the most noteworthy because it's had its price slashed by a third, that's a saving of £200.
Because this was released back in 2021, it isn't Google's latest and greatest phone, but it's still one of the best in the business thanks to its really advanced camera system jam-packed full of handy extras like the Magic Eraser. Take a look at the Google Pixel 6 review to see it in action.
Add to that the Google Tensor chipset which supports all of the phone's unique AI-based features like voice typing and Google translate - you're onto a winner.
Panasonic LUMIX DC-S5 Mirrorless: was £1,799 now £1,499 at Amazon
A good camera is a must for the holidays. You'll want to capture every moment (ideally in crisp, clear 4K+ detail) and to do that you'll want to have a mirrorless camera.
These things aren't cheap, however, but the good news is Amazon has a great deal on one of Panasonic's best mirrorless cameras – the LUMI DC-S5. Receiving a decent 17% price cut thanks to Amazon's Black Friday sale, this premium mirrorless is down to a much more enticing price of just £1,499.
T3's Panasonic LUMIX DC-S5 review gave this thing a stellar review, and while it has a couple of downsides that most photographers can get over, the pros far outweigh the cons – especially at this price.

Cheap Le Creuset anyone?
Black Friday is always a great time to snap up some Le Cresuet deals. With recession looming, I'd imagine the brand and its retailers are pretty keen to get shot of a load of it now, while people still feel reasonably flush. Leading the charge this year are John Lewis, who have got 40% off a large number of premium cookware bundles, and 25% off an even larger number of individual items.
Not to be outdone, Amazon has some solid cookware deals – around the 20-25% mark, but remember Amazon's Le Creuset prices are often discounted in the first place. For the super-fans, it's also offering savings on a ridiculously huge array of accessories, including pepper mills, thermometers and a 'metal drip ring'. It's for pouring wine with spilling.
Le Creuset itself has a sale on, with as much as £400 off saucepan sets and as much as £7 off spatulas. Or is that spatulae?

Very much in the vein of such big hitters as Bird and VanMoof, Cowboy makes chunky yet stylish electric bikes that are as enjoyable to look at as they are to ride, and which come packed with advanced techy features. They're quite reasonably priced for such high quality ebikes at £1,999, but we're increasingly seeing that buyers are not prepared to stray much above £1,000 when it comes to picking up an ebike.
Which is a shame, but for Black Friday you can have your electric cake and eat it. That's because Cowboy has SLASHED its prices, particularly for those who are prepared to wait. It's a win-win because you get lower prices, and the brand gets more time to haul bikes out of its squeezed supply chains.
So right now, you can get the Cowboy 3 for £1,290 with delivery in February. That;s not bad, but if you're prepared to wait until April you can get the very same bike for just £1,090. Good things come to those who wait… And so do cheaper things, in this case.

I don't think there have been as many great laptop deals throughout the Cyber Weekend as typical. But this LG Gram 17 deal is a great buy for many reasons. First up, it's massive, given it's 17-inch screen. But, and perhaps more importantly for some, it's really lightweight and therefore readily portable - which is a rarity for something of this scale. Better still, this is the 2022 model on offer, so there's really no compromise.

Not every deal rears its head at Amazon, which is why I was surprised to find supermarket brand ASDA dishing out Sonic Frontiers for a mere £28. Seeing as the game only launched last month, that's a great near-half-price discount. Many players really love the open-world Sonic title, too, which has been likened to a Zelda-like epic. Not got PS5? The Xbox Series S/X copy is also discounted.
Money laundering
While a washing machine may not be top of most people's want lists for Black Friday, they do sell well over this weekend. If you're shopping for a new one, there's a big saving on this machine from Miele, which boasts a 9kg maximum load size, 1400rpm maximum spin speed and, since it's made by Miele, it'll probably last you a decade at least without any issues. John Lewis chuck in their usual two-year warranty, and offer installation and removal of your old machine for small additional fees.

It's not Black Friday until you've seen at least 17 Nespresso deals. Unlike air fryers, which used to be a staple of Black Friday small appliance sales but are now rarer than Argentina football victories over Saudi Arabia, there are still loads of Nespresso deals for you to enjoy this year.
Nespresso neophytes tend to gravitate to the Nespresso Next, as it has a cooler name and looks a lot smarter than the Plus. However, mark well these words of T3's resident coffee expert Derek Adams before you make that mistake.
"Where the Vertuo Plus incorporates a brilliant motorised capsule lid that is a joy to use, this one uses a very basic latch and lift system that is nowhere near as tactile," complains Derek, adding: "The lever is so stiff to lock and unlock that you cannot perform the task with just one hand." As if that weren't disastrous enough, the Next also has a slightly smaller water tank than the Plus and feels more flimsy overall.
So don't mug yourself this Black Friday: choose Plus over Next.
