Amazon has introduced a low-price shopping experience to rival the likes of Temu and Shein, called Amazon Haul. The service is going to focus on “crazy low prices” and will aim to highlight products under $20 to make low-cost shopping easier.
The service will be mobile only and work through the current Amazon shopping app, with the idea being that you can head into Amazon Haul and find a whole range of things that might get lost on the main Amazon app. If nothing else, it will help you find low price gifts, without being distracted by the latest Fire TV that Amazon has just launched.
The service launches in beta and it’s currently focused on shoppers in the US. The advantage that Amazon Haul offers is that everything sold is backed by Amazon’s guarantee. You don’t get Prime delivery here, instead it’s focused on a delivery time of one to two weeks.
There will be free returns on Haul purchases and if you spend over $25 then delivery is free. There will also be discounts if you add additional items, so if you add more products to an order and spend more than $50, you’ll get a 5% discount.
Taking on Temu
The launch of Haul is thought to be to win back customers who might have turned to Temu for low-cost shopping.
Temu’s impact on online shopping has been so profound that its name has moved into common parlance: even teenagers are referring to “Temu” things – and usually in a negative way, thanks to the low-cost alternatives offered by the Chinese retailer.
With that said, a fair number of Temu finds have gone viral on social media, sometimes tongue-in-cheek, sometimes a little more serious.

Amazon’s Haul will make it easier to find those low-cost trinkets in amongst all the other products that Amazon offers and hopefully, make it easier to find that special something.
“Amazon Haul aims to help make shopping for fashion, home, lifestyle, electronics, and other products even more fun, easy, and affordable,” said Dharmesh Mehta, vice president of Worldwide Selling Partner Services at Amazon.
Of course, it's not only about buying low-cost items – with Black Friday approaching there's sure to be plenty of deals on Amazon too.
