Samsung's Odyssey gaming monitors are very much sought after, but can also be pretty expensive outside of a sale event.

Thankfully, Black Friday has come to the rescue, with Amazon offering the incredible 49-inch Odyssey OLED G9 with a mammoth 41% off.

That puts the ultrawide, curved display at under $950 for the first time – a saving of $650.

Featuring a stunning 240Hz OLED panel, the 49-inch curved OLED G9 will elevate any gaming session to another level. Some call it the "most incredible monitor ever seen" and it's hard to argue.

Why consider the Samsung Odyssey OLED G9 gaming monitor?

Samsung's Odyssey range of monitors have always been at the top end of premium gaming displays, but the OLED G9 is on another level still.

Its OLED panel ensures that colors and black levels are at their most rich and deep, while the response time is extraordinary – just 0.03ms.

AMD Freesync Premium Pro technology is on board, as is G-Sync support, along with HDMI 2.1, DisplayPort and a USB hub for the ultimate in connectivity.

The mighty 1800R curved screen has a resolution of 5120 x 1440, and the viewing angle of 178-degrees is mind-blowing for a display of this type.

There are plenty of curved gaming monitors on the market these days, but few can hold a candle to the OLED skills of the G9. However, if you're intrigued by the size and curve, there's also a great Black Friday deal on the standard Odyssey G9 monitor right now too.

It is also 49-inches, but uses an LED backlight instead.
