The best smartwatches have come a long way since they began gaining more traction, and that’s mostly down to consumer expectations. These days, users expect the perfect combination of style and functionality, and whilst this can be tricky to find, there’s one brand that does it a little better than the rest.

Following the successful launch of the Watch GT4 last year, Huawei has officially launched its next generation. The Huawei Watch GT 5 and GT 5 Pro are two unique designs, both of which feature the industry-leading Huawei TruSense System and a variety of high-quality materials.

These are stunning devices that look like regular watches rather than your typical smartwatch. Each model comes in a variety of styles and colour options, and both come in two different sizes and boast an impressive battery life of up to two weeks.

From entry-level to advanced, the Huawei Watch GT 5 Series meets the needs of all kinds of users. With over 100 different sports features, including wind-down exercises like yoga and pilates, it’s the perfect combination of a sports assistant and wellness guide that will be sure to benefit anyone.

After its unveiling last month, the Huawei Watch GT 5 Series is the first smartwatch range to be equipped with the Huawei TruSense System. The technology enables the Watch GT 5 to become even smarter, boosting the accuracy, comprehensiveness and speed of the watch’s health monitoring. Using the system, each watch will supply users with up-to-date health stats, helping them stay aware of their health and wellbeing even amidst a busy schedule.

Each watch also features a new screenshot function, allowing users to capture their smartwatch activity by pressing the upper and lower buttons of the watch at the same time.

Huawei has also levelled up with its Sunflower GNSS tech system, a programme which boosts positioning accuracy through an adaptive algorithm. This allows sports enthusiasts to enjoy a bigger variety of holistic cycling and running features without compromising on exactitude.

The Watch GT 5 Pro’s waterproof ability has been strongly improved since its predecessor, meaning it now has a free diving waterproof depth of up to 40 metres, enough to support the highest level of PADI/SSI/AIDA diving student certification. Those who participate in freediving, as well as trail running and golf course mode, can also receive in-depth guidance with specialised professional modes on the Pro version.

For the style conscious user, both models incorporate luxurious titanium material into their design. The Huawei Watch GT 5 Pro 46mm’s watch body and case is exclusively made of aerospace-grade titanium alloy, whilst the Huawei Watch GT 5 Pro 42mm features titanium alloy based gold accents that coincide with the white ceramic.

On top of the classic watch faces, the Watch GT 5 adds 11 new watch face designs, whilst the Pro version comes with 13. Both designs come with various strap options, and are the industry's first ceramic watches with quick-release links, greatly reducing the hassle of disassembling watch strap links one by one.

The Huawei Watch GT 5 is priced from £229.99, while the Huawei Watch GT 5 Pro starts from £329.99. You can get a free pair of Huawei FreeBuds 5i earbuds when you order the Huawei Watch GT 5 or GT 5 Pro from the Huawei Store or Amazon before 22nd October.
