If there's one thing the best Black Friday deals are guaranteed to be good for, it's for massive TVs being on sale. And this cut-price steal of a deal is for a 100-inch QLED whopper, that's so darn big I might have to buy a new house to show it off – it's part of Best Buy's best Black Friday deals, which are now in full effect.

Hisense is no stranger to making huge TVs, many of which I've seen before at showcases, such as at the best of CES, and when the discounts come in this large there's little reason not to consider such a massive telly. Except, of course, if you physically couldn't fit it into your home...

Hisense QD7 100-inch TV
Hisense QD7 100-inch TV: was $2,999.99 now $1,599.99

At close to half price, this 100-inch panel from Hisense is around the same price at the best TVs at 65-inches will cost you. You're getting scale above all else here, clearly, but with QLED expect bold colors and plenty of brightness from the LED backlight too.

There's plenty to consider when buying your new best TV, of course, with scale only being part of the picture (literally). I test plenty of panels here at T3, so whether you want the best sounding set, the best OLED picture quality, or really only care about having one of the best 80-inch or larger tellies, there are plenty of guides on the site.

The Hisense model here, the QD7, is an LED backlit TV, meaning a number of zones can illuminate picture areas to give a stronger impression of contrast. That's not quite a full array (FALD) type, and certainly isn't the per-pixel illumination basis of an OLED panel either – but it's better than edge-lit cheapy sets, which should mean you don't get the worst 'clouding' from such lighting.

Note this is also a QLED TV, which means it's a 'Quantum Dot' type. While normal LED TVs use a colored LCD filter layer on top of the backlight, Quantum Dot is converted to pure colours by a different layer, which helps colors to stay more rich and saturated. The result, simply, is punchier and more impressive colors – that'll no doubt dazzle at this huge scale.

So if you've been looking for a TV monster without a price that's as large-scale as its diagonal size with a few extra zeroes added on, this Hisense TV ticks all the right boxes of scale to price. Just make sure you measure up before pressing the order button... or go find yourself some new digs instead.
